Historic Georgetown, Inc. announces a Victorian House Tour, to be held the weekend of August 23 and 24, 2008, from 10am-4pm on Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sunday. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. Catch a glimpse of Victorian life in an early mining town of the Rocky Mountains as private home owners and numerous historic sites open the doors to the public and share their stories and homes with you. Experience the classic architectural styles associated with Georgetown and relive some of the most interesting anecdotes of the 19th century. Spend the weekend here in the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic Landmark District and stroll our quaint tree-lined streets while you tour the homes and the historic downtown area. There will be free live music and shopping in Strousse Park for your enjoyment. Hike, bike or fish on the Guanella Pass Scenic and Historic Byway, ride the famous Georgetown Loop Railroad (reservations recommended), or simply enjoy the cool mountain air while you relax in one of Georgetown's charming parks.
